Vocation Story
Praised be Jesus Christ! I am so grateful to God for this gift of my vocation! I would say that my journey to Religious Life really began at home. My parents educated my sisters and me in the faith and taught us how to pray and that we must love God with all of our hearts. But it was at the age of 14 when the principal at my elementary school asked me if I ever thought of being a Sister. Of course, I said “No,” but he asked me to think about it. It was from that point that I started to spend more time in prayer and Scripture reading. My relationship with Christ was beginning to grow deeper and it was becoming clear to me that the Lord was asking me to follow Him- to be His completely. I was blessed to have had so much support from my Parish Priest and my family. I met a few of the Sisters of Our Lady Immaculate at Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Academy and was deeply touched and drawn towards their great joy and love for their spouse Jesus Christ. I decided to attend a Come and See visit and felt very much at peace and at home. I loved the spirituality of the community especially praying 3 rosaries a day, daily Mass, and Holy Hour every day. I decided then to go to Madonna House for some spiritual direction. I told my Spiritual Director that I knew where God was calling me to serve Him and he said to me, “If you know, what is holding you back?” It was then that I decided to apply to join the Community. Now here I am, a Professed Sister of Our Lady Immaculate. May God be praised for this beautiful vocation!
